Linking a Contact Group to an Interaction

Learn how to link all Stakeholders from a Contact Group to an Interaction record

In Simply Stakeholders we often need to link an Interaction to all members of a Contact Group, sometimes numbering 100s of Stakeholders. Below are the steps to link the Stakeholders from a Contact Group to an Interaction record.

Linking a Contact Group to an Interaction Record

  1. Create the Interaction: Begin by creating your interaction in the Interactions module.

  2. Navigate to Stakeholders Module and use the filters on the left side panel to find People and Groups > Contact Groups: Select the Contact Group/s that you wish to link the Interaction record to, and click on 'Apply' to filter stakeholders.

  3. Select All Stakeholders- noting that if there are multiple pages you will need to change your view or tab through each page to select all stakeholders across all pages.

  4. With all Stakeholders from the Contact Group/s selected, Navigate to Bulk Edit - stacked cards icon in the top right - and select Timeline from the drop down menu Field to Edit

  5. With Timeline selected as the Field to Edit, navigate to the Interactions Field in the pop-up window to select or search for the relevant Interaction record

  6. Click 'Add' (not 'Replace') to link the interaction to the timeline of all selected stakeholders and click 'Confirm' to update the stakeholders.

  7. You will see a confirmation message indicating how many stakeholders have been updated.

To recap:

  1. Create your interaction.

  2. Navigate to stakeholders and filter by contact group.

  3. Select all stakeholders and bulk edit, selecting the timeline field.

  4. Link the interaction and confirm.
