About stakeholder records
A stakeholder record can be for an individual person or for an organisation.
Stakeholder records in Simply Stakeholders let you identify and analyze the needs of your stakeholders, effectively engage them, and manage their expectations.
Go to Add a stakeholder for steps to add, edit and duplicate stakeholder records.
How to access a stakeholder record
Click the stakeholder icon
on the left of the screen.
Click the name of the stakeholder you want to access. This will open the stakeholder record.

The stakeholder record has 3 main areas:
The LEFT panel lets you update the stakeholder's details and add engagement data.
The CENTER panel tracks the activity history of the stakeholder, their relationships with other stakeholders, and customised reporting functionality.
The TOP row of icons prove basic functions like duplicating and deleting the stakeholder record.
About the LEFT panel
From the left panel you can:
Edit contact details of the stakeholder and their linked organizations. You can also add organizations from this section.
Track stakeholder mapping. Go to Stakeholder mapping for more information.
Add a relationship manager.
Add contact groups. Go to Contact groups for more information.
Share the stakeholder across projects.
Add tags to the stakeholder record. Go to Tags for more information.
Add notes and files.
About the CENTER panel
From the centre panel of your stakeholder record you can view and manage the stakeholder's timeline of interaction and task activities, as well as relationships with other organizations and individuals.
About the TOP panel
The icons in the top panel of the stakeholder record allow you to:
Duplicate the stakeholder record. Go to Add a stakeholder.
Change stakeholder type, i.e. from organization to individual and vice versa.
Make the stakeholder inactive without actually deleting them.
Export a stakeholder report.
Delete the stakeholder.
About the Activity History tab
The Activity History tab shows a timeline of all the activities linked to a stakeholder. From here, you can view, add, link, or create interactions and tasks.
When you create an interaction or task elsewhere and include the stakeholder's name, it's automatically added to their activity history. If the stakeholder wasn't included at the time, you can link them to the interaction or task later.
You can also add interactions and tasks directly from the stakeholder's timeline.
How to add an interaction/task to the timeline
Navigate to the stakeholder record.
Click the Activity History tab.
Select the type of interaction/task you want to link from the dropdown menu.
Select the existing interaction/task from the list. Note: You can click more than 1 item.
OR
Click + Create new interaction and enter the details of the interaction/task.Click Save.
How to remove an item from the timeline
Navigate to the stakeholder record.
Click the Activity History tab.
Hover over the item you want to remove.
Click the Unlink icon
at the far right of the item.
About the Relationships tab
The Relationships tab lets you manage the stakeholders relationships to other organizational or individual stakeholders and relevant properties.

How to access stakeholder relationships
There are 4 icons that let you access a stakeholder's relationships.

Stakeholders - list view
Shows the stakeholder's relationships with other organizational and individual stakeholders in a list.
Properties - list view
If the stakeholder is linked to any properties, the address will be in the property list view. Here you will also be able to see if there are any other stakeholders linked to the property.
Show map view - map of linked properties
Properties linked to the shareholder can also be viewed on a geographical map. This is the only view that cannot be edited - you have to amend properties in the properties list view.
Stakeholder network map
The network map lets you visualize the connections that this stakeholder has by showing them on a graphical map.

How to link to an individual or an organizational stakeholder
Click the Stakeholder list view icon
(for an individual) or Stakeholder network map view icon
(for an organization).
Click Add Stakeholder in the top right of the center panel.
Select the stakeholder to link,
OR
Click + Create new stakeholder and enter the details.Click Save.
In the Stakeholder list view
, if you're linking to:
- an organization, you can record the stakeholder's position in the organization, and select the relevant Division within the organization.
- an individual, you can select their relationship to the stakeholder.
How to link a property
Select the Properties view icon
.
Click Add Properties in the top right of the center panel.
Select the property,

Click + Create new property and enter the details.Click Save.
Click the Show map view icon
to see the linked stakeholder property/ies on a map interface.
Important:
Properties and Geo Mapping/Map View are premium module (paid add-on).
How to unlink a stakeholder or property
You can unlink stakeholders and properties from stakeholder records and from interaction records.
Click the Relationships tab of the stakeholder record (or interaction record).
Click the Stakeholder list view icon
(or Properties view icon
).
Hover over the stakeholder (or property).
Click the Unlink icon
.
