Setting the Geographic Map Centre in your Account will mean that every time you open a map view, it will default to show the pre-set Map Centre. This will assist with accurate and faster visual access to your records.
Geographic Mapping Setup
Follow the step-by-step guide to set up geographic mapping in your account. Note that individual Projects can upload KML or KMZ files that override the Geographic map settings.
Having Geographic Maps set to your project location ensures accurate representation of your records on the Map View in your Records Modules for enhanced data visualization and analysis.
Key Steps
Check for Geographic Mapping Access (paid optional add-on)
Verify if you have the properties module or the geographic mapping add-on enabled in your account.
If not enabled, contact your Customer Success Account Executive or email [email protected] to arrange Account access.
Navigate to Admin Settings (requires Admin Access user level)
Clear Existing Values (if required)
In the geographic mapping settings, clear any existing latitude, longitude, and zoom values.
Obtain Geographic Coordinates (if required)
Open Google Maps.
Search for the suburb or region you want to focus on.
Zoom in to your desired level.
Copy the latitude and longitude from the address bar (format: latitude, longitude). Note if there is a minus symbol -123.456 in front of the latitude or longitude, this is important to include.
Note the zoom level you want to set.

Adjust for Different Areas (if needed)
If you need to set a different area, repeat steps 5-7 with the new coordinates.
Notes
Ensure that all three values (latitude, longitude, and zoom) are correctly entered for accurate mapping.
Double-check coordinates in Google Maps to avoid errors in the geographic representation.
If you encounter any issues, do not hesitate to reach out to your Customer Success Account Manager or the Chat Bot (bottom left) or Knowledge Centre (? icon in top right) for assistance.
By setting your Geographic Map centre, you will be able to effectively set up your Map Views to reflect your Project area of work, enhancing productivity and accuracy in record visualization.
